'Tis The Season of Giving: Holiday Donation Drives In San Diego (2020)

San Diego Holiday Donation Toy Drives Christmas

During this season of giving, you'll find lots of places where you can donate your time, money and gifts to others. You really should first choose which cause means the most to you and you'll be able to find an organization that would love to receive your generosity...whether that's children, homeless, military, elderly, sick or animals just to name a few.

This is a short list right now, but I'll keep adding to it as I come across donation centers. Please send me a message or DM here if you find any that I should add to this list.

FOOD DRIVE - Stuff The Bus

Drive away hunger in San Diego County by participating in the 13th Annual Stuff the Bus Food Drive! The COVID-19 pandemic has affected thousands of families in San Diego this year, and the number of people the SD Food Bank serves every month has nearly doubled to 600,000 due to the crisis. Donations are highly needed. Join us to help stop hunger in San Diego! Your food donation to the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank will help thousands of local families in need this winter.

HOW: Visit any Albertsons or VONS store and purchase critically-needed items for donation to the San Diego Food Bank. (Printable List) The Food Bank cannot accept any glass containers or homemade foods.

Vons: Donate a $5 prefilled bag of groceries

Albertsons: Donate any non-perishable food item or join the fundraiser virtually by shopping on the online portal!

Join our Virtual Food Drive by checking out items from the online store! Just pick the items you want to donate, drop them in the shopping bag to check out! All donations go directly to the San Diego Food Bank.

MILITARY - STEP Program

Every year my @famdiego friends and I "adopt" families in the STEP Program that supports junior enlisted and recently discharged military families to help them become financially stable. Your family, extended family, co-workers, play date groups, church or any other group can also "adopt" a military family for the holidays. You'll be given a family's wish lists to shop for and then you'll return them to the STEP Program where they'll be distributed.

I'm a SAHM of 2 boys, but we rarely "stay at home". They have sooo much energy that we HAVE to get outside to burn it off. Everyday is an adventure; whether we find new places, go back to our favorites or even just a trip to Costco!
