đ PB PUMPKIN PATCH (Pacific Beach)
2023. If you live near the beach, this is a good place to come. They have pumpkins of all sizes, including fall decorations like straw bales, Indian corn, gourds and corn stalks. The best part is the free pumpkin carving and painting stations with stencils, paint kits, stickers and candles.
TIP: Buy a small pumpkin and let the kids sit and paint it before you leave. Bring a small cardboard box to put them in your car for the drive home.
They have FREE hot apple cider and FREE shaved ice for kids!

2023. Like so many others this is more than just a pumpkin patch. You can pull the pumpkin catapult to shoot pumpkins through the air and watch as they smash to smithereens across the field. Mingle with the goats, slide down the inflatable slides, jump in several bounce houses (don't forget your socks!), wagon hay rides, carnival games like pumpkin bowling, axe throwing, mechanical bull riding, and even stay for one of their FREE outdoor movies! 2023. Bring a swim suit and join the Halloween fun at Alga Norte Aquatic Center that transforms into spooky pool full of pumpkins. Each child will get to lasso up a pumpkin, where they'll throw a hula hoop around the pumpkin they want and the staff will be in the pool to go get it. Pool activities will be pool games with prizes & floating obstacles. Dry activities will be a bouncy house. The Splash Pad will be open for the little ones and all can enjoy a nighttime movie; either from floating in the pool or on land.

There are 5 different locations for these Pumpkin Stations and each has something different to offer. All have free admission to walk in, but each activity requires purchased tickets to participate.
Activities include petting zoos, hay rides, corn mazes, jumpies and carnival rides. The rides are suited more for little kids, so older teens may not be interested or even fit in these pint-sized thrills. ;)

All of Oma's usual activities are available and included in admission for the pumpkin patch, plus your kids will get to take home a small pumpkin of their choosing. Activities: cottonseed mountain, petting zoo, playgrounds, bikes, games and more.
TIP: Sign up for the wagon ride on-site. This is a really fun 12 minute farm tour and you'll even go into the dairy barn and see the cows chewing & mooing. (I highly recommend this, it will be the highlight of your visit here.)

đ 2021 SUMMERS PAST FARMS (Flinn Springs)
This is the most beautiful and tranquil farm to run around and find the greatest pumpkin at. It's even certified as a wildlife habitat recognized by the National Wildlife Federation. They have lots of cats, dogs and chickens running around in addition to hay fort building and corn mazes!

đ 2021 CHILDREN'S NATURE RETREAT (Alpine)
A wonderful and serene place for children & adults to experience animals from around the world. You'll give given a bucket with food to feed the animals that you choose as the walking path takes you through six separate areas; "each reflecting a different world in the animal kingdom...They have more than 180+ domesticated livestock and exotic animals." Some were rescued and others are from owners who could no longer care for them.
They've been growing a pumpkin patch this year and visitors to the Children's Nature Retreat can pick out a pumpkin from their patch.

Fall vibes abound here in the Julian mountains if you're willing to make the hour-long drive out. Along with their usual gold panning and mine tours, in the fall they bring out cider pressing, hay rides, farm animals and even axe throwing. đ 2021 BATES NUT FARM (Valley Center)
One of the most popular spots to go in the fall is Bates Nut Farm. You'll find a hay bale maze, hay rides, pony rides and a petting zoo here. Sometimes they have food booths setup like ice cream and wood-fired pizza.
Don't forget to shop their store for anything and everything you can imagine...packaged nuts, dried fruits, bean soups, old-fashioned candy, honey, jams, sauces of all kinds, mustards, fudge + you'll find holiday gifts and general gifts for anyone. You may want to plan ahead if you have gifts to buy to wait until you come here.
TIP: Check out their country store for some roasted nuts and homemade fudge.

Spend your fall weekends at Kenny's riding tractors, petting animals and jumping around. They're only open Sat & Sun with advanced ticket purchase only. You'll sign up for one of four 90 minute time slots and tickets are limited per session. They'll have lots of yummy fall treats on-site from Kenny's Farm Kitchen so come hungry!

đ 2021 FALLBROOK PUMPKIN PATCH (Fallbrook)
Located at The Vineyard 1924 you'll be entranced in this ambiance of live music, caramel apples, sangria, artisanal gifts, arts & crafts and maybe even a few ghost stories. Last year they had painting kits and kid's art projects on-site and to-go that included a pumpkin.
Every weekend brings different activities & events, check socials for updates. Some examples include: paint & sip nights, pumpkin carving, workshops & classes with local business owners, arts & crafts.

đ 2021 PELTZER PUMPKIN FARM (Temecula)
What a fun place for parents and kids to enjoy the fall together. Parents can check out the winery and then take the kiddos over to find the petting zoo, play carnival games together, pan for gems, and ride all the things: trains, ponies and mini-tractors. See below for all the details.
Kids Pumpkin Painting Classes are held every Tue and Thur from 4:30-5:30pm in October. These are geared for littles kids from ages ages 2+. Classes are $18-$20, includes a pumpkin and all painting materials. Check out the painting projects, suggested ages and RSVP here.
