🐣 EASTER CELEBRATIONS
Celebrate with your little honey-bunnies! (Easter Guide will be up this week)
🌷 ALL OF THE FLOWER FIELDS
Sandoval & Sons (Bonsall) usually has u-cut ranunculus & sunflowers. This is the cheapest no-frills flower field, but that's why it's our favorite! but they don't have updated information yet. I'll update this when dates are released and you can check their IG for updates as well. Available soon. 💻 info
Julian Farm & Orchard has u-cut daffodils, zinnias, sunflowers & farm activities. These costs can add up if you do all the activities so you might want to pick and choose a couple. We had the best day here and it's all so fun. They also had some hot sandwiches from a nearby restaurant for sale that were delicious. Available now. 💻 info
Carlsbad Flower Fields has PHOTO-only flowers (NO u-cut) and you cannot walk in the fields. They have lots of other fun activities on site, but the costs really add up here. Available now. 💻 website
🍓 STRAWBERRY PICKING
This is a fun Spring-Summer activity to get out in the fields and pick the freshest strawberries you've ever tasted. Kids will get dirty, so wear clothes & shoes that you don't mind getting muddy. Some of these have fun add-ons like hay rides or sunflower mazes, etc. so be prepared to do (and pay) more than just pick strawberries. And bring some extra money because it all adds up! And yes these freshly picked strawberries will cost you more than at the grocery store, but you're really paying for the experience and teaching your kids about where food really comes from.
FAQ: No, these are not organic strawberry farms.

🌳 NATIONAL PARKS WEEK
April 22-30, 2023. Opt Outside all week to enjoy our beautiful country. Entrance fees are waived on 4/22; different parks will host events & activities all week! 💻 website
San Diego National Park Events:
Cabrillo: walking tours, open bunker, snake greetings, open tower climbs
Joshua Tree: guided jr ranger hikes, campfire evenings
National Parks always have a few “fee-free days” during the year to make parks accessible to everyone. 2023 dates: 1/16, 4/22, 4/4, 9/23, 11/11
National Parks also offer free parks passes to 4th graders, military and those with permanent disability.
🎥 ROOFTOP CINEMA CLUB
March-December. One of our favorite activities is back! They've got a ton of great movies for kiddos, check out their pajama movies, family days, teen nights and even “Wooftop Movies”. 🐶 A few of their April shows for kids are Harry Potter, Shrek, Encanto, Ratatouille, Freaky Friday, Puss In Boots. (Check back soon for my discount code.)
Note: Movies starting after 4:30pm are strictly for ages 18+ for their enjoyment.

2022 COST FOR CHILD ADMISSION:
This pricing is for kids 12 and under, only for screenings before 4:30pm. Kids under 13 must be accompanied by an adult (18+). They recommend only bringing kids ages 5+ to make sure they can wear the wireless headphones.

FOOD:
There's a full bar and food menu provided by the Manchester Grand Hyatt, including concessions like popcorn, candy and movie snacks.
PARKING:
$11 with validation for 4 hours with food or drink purchase and $18 without food or drink purchase. Don't forget to bring this with you and validate it in the stamp machine before you exit the Rooftop Cinemas. You'll see people lining up for this machine, get in the line so you can get your validation. Otherwise you'll have to pay full price for the parking.
During the summer, the Grand Hyatt's parking may fill up and parking priority goes towards their guests, so you may have to park at Seaport Village; unfortunately RCC validation does not apply to any other locations if you have to park off-site.

April 13-16, 2023. Tickets to the "Let's Celebrate" show are on sale now. You'll see Mickey & Minnie, Anna & Elsa, Woody & Buzz and more. PARKING:
This cost $25 at the Jan 2023 show. I like to save you money when I can, but there isn't anywhere to park for free nearby and the trolley doesn't come close, only the bus line. So the only parking option is either to have someone drop you off or pay the $25.
FYI:
This is a 100% capacity show. All guests age 2 and older are required to have a ticket.
Face coverings are strongly encouraged, regardless of vaccination status, and may be required per state, city and venue policies.

🎭 MUSICAL PLAY: MATILDA
April 28 - May 14, 2023. Roald Dahl's "Matilda The Musical" at the SD Junior Theater at Balboa Park. "A little girl with psychokinetic powers is unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her teacher, who recognizes her extraordinary personality. It's a fun high-energy show with dance numbers and catchy songs.
